It helps that OnePlus is offering two of the three new accessories as freebies when you purchase the Pad 3. If you're planning to use the tablet for productivity and entertainment, I'd strongly consider the Smart Keyboard and Folio cases. If your use cases include sketching and designing graphics, the Stylo 2 is the better option over either of the other two. For alternatives, I'd recommend the OnePlus Pad 2 to those who want a similar software experience but in a smaller screen size.

What's more, there are discounts to be had from OnePlus directly – the Pad 3, the Sylo 2, and the Folio case can be had as a bundle for just £529 – the three together make the tablet cheaper (£599). It is, pound-for-pound, the best tablet around.

If OnePlus sticks to last year’s Rs 40,000 pricing, it’s a great all-rounder. But if it lands above Rs 50,000, well, maybe you would like to consider what else the tablet world has to offer!

I am very impressed with the OnePlus Pad 3, and it has been a joy to use it for the duration of this review. It is a powerful tablet and ticks all the boxes that a typical tablet customer could want. I tried to use the tablet in a more “Pro” style of use as a tool for writing this review, and for the most part, it worked very well. The only time I really came up against any issues it was not due to the OnePlus Pad 3 but down to the Android Software. I am sure if I were to spend more time experimenting with this setup, I would be able to find sufficient workarounds for the shortcomings of the Apps that I was using in this review’s creation. If you are looking for a new tablet and don’t fancy paying the Apple or Samsung tax for their products, then this is a very good option, especially when you combine it with the array of accessories that are available to purchase (or get for free if you are lucky enough).

If you want a mid-range Android tablet that feels like a flagship, yes. For many people, the OnePlus Pad 3 offers everything most people are looking for in a slate. OnePlus has absolutely nailed the fundamentals here, with incredible performance, a stunning display and some of the best battery life I’ve ever seen on a tablet. You also get a flagship design and useful software features to help you make the most out of that big screen. However, it’s not perfect. While security updates will continue for six years, OnePlus’ commitment to major OS updates is half that. There’s also no official water or dust resistance, while the optional keyboard cover could do with some improvement. But considering its price point, the OnePlus Pad 3 is still a superb buy that’s easy to recommend.

Before I even received the OnePlus Pad 3, I knew it was going to be one of my favorite tablets. Why? Because of what OnePlus and OPPO have been doing with software lately. OnePlus introduced Airdrop-like features for OnePlus devices to iPhones last year in Oxygen OS 15. OPPO introduced even more features for Mac with the Find N5, like photo syncing, remote desktop control, and multi-window. And given how great Open Canvas is, and how much I prefer it, I had huge expectations for the OnePlus Pad 3. On top of that, OnePlus is selling this tablet at an absolute steal. It’s actually priced in line with Samsung’s FE tablets, which is incredible. If you’re not embedded in the Samsung ecosystem, then there’s no reason why you shouldn’t get the OnePlus Pad 3, unless you just don’t need a tablet.

While the keyboard was great for typing emails, it’s not ideal for heavy work. My main issue was the trackpad — though roomy, it often disrupted productivity by making text selection difficult and frequently triggered unintended shortcuts, like accidental screenshots. The keyboard’s stability also needs improvement; it still connects via pogo pins, which work well on a desk but feel unstable on your lap. Thankfully, Bluetooth support lets you detach and use it wirelessly. The OnePlus Pad 3 is even better suited for binge-watching, reading, streaming music, and light multitasking than before. The improved software update policy also makes it more future-proof. Software limitations prevent it from being a true laptop replacement or productivity powerhouse, but then again, few tablets are.

I mentioned the OnePlus Pad 3 came closer than any other tablet to convincing me that I’d use one for productivity tasks, but it still falls short of the mark. I don’t think it’s a problem that can be solved for me. If you absolutely need a large, heavy tablet that can function as a quasi-laptop when you need it and a gigantic screen entertainment center when you don’t, have at it, because OnePlus has done an excellent job. However, for the rest of us, I’d still look towards more inexpensive options, like the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro, to get plenty of use for a lot less money. I can't fault the hardware of the OnePlux Pad 3. It's an excellent performer with a gorgeous display and fantastic battery life. However, it's tough to know who should buy one. If you're in the market for an Android tablet that can do everything and serve as a laptop replacement, it's a good choice.

I've been testing the OnePlus Pad 3 for a couple of weeks so here's my verdict! The tablet is released in the UK on June 12 for £529. With its Snapdragon 8 Elite gaming performance, serious longevity between charges and premium specs, the OnePlus Pad 3 is certainly an enjoyable tablet for work or play. However, it's still a bit quirky and not cheap, especially if you want those accessories like the smart keyboard cover.I enjoyed multi-tasking with the OnePlus Pad 3, thanks to that 'Open Canvas' OxygenOS setup and beefy power. Gaming is a slick and smooth experience too, with top Android titles like Wuthering Waves running well on higher graphics settings.

The OnePlus Pad 3 really gets a lot of things right, as it's both performant and has a premium design. While there are a few quirks and frustrations, they aren't deal-breakers by any stretch. I hope that Google rolls out Desktop Mode sooner rather than later, and that OnePlus jumps on that bandwagon as quickly as possible. But even without that, Open Canvas should be more than adequate for multitasking until it arrives. For the first time in a while, the OnePlus Pad 3 is a tablet that I'd actually consider buying for myself, even with the iPad Pro and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra already at my disposal. I firmly believe the Pad 3 is better than both, even if it may not seem that way on paper.

For my particular use case, as someone who likes to use tablet computers for a mix of productivity during the day and catching up on YouTube and Netflix in my spare time, the Pad 3 provided me with quality of life features I didn’t even know I needed. So, is the Pad 3 the right Android tablet to buy? I believe yes, but before I can say that with emphasis I would need to know the price of the Pad 3 in India. And that price has not been revealed yet by OnePlus. The tablet is going on sale globally, however, from today and it has been priced at Euros 599. If that is indeed the price, in India you can expect it to land somewhere around Rs 55,000 when it goes on sale later in a few weeks. If that is indeed the price, I have no hesitation in recommending the OnePlus Pad 3 as the best Android tablet to buy in India. Sure, it is missing a few tricks. But for that it more than makes up for it by offering solid performance, a good design, usable software, a fantastic screen and great battery life. In other words, it ticks all the right boxes. Now let’s hope it ticks the price box too in the right way.

I’m not convinced that the extra bulk helps the OnePlus Pad 3 market itself as a laptop replacement but, as a powerful and versatile Android tablet, it absolutely knocks it out of the park. The Snapdragon 8 Elite is as nippy here as on the best smartphones, the display is a little brighter and more colour-accurate than before and the bigger battery delivers some excellent stamina. Software support could be better – Samsung still reigns supreme here – and I’d have loved to see OnePlus commit to an OLED screen, but otherwise, there’s very little to dislike about the OnePlus Pad 3. It’s hard to think of anything more I’d want from an Android tablet than this, regardless of price. The OnePlus Pad 3 is brilliantly well-rounded, with the sort of performance to handle just about any task, top-tier accessories that make it a proper productivity machine, and battery life that’s basically unrivalled. You could argue an OLED display would be the icing on the cake, but I honestly don’t feel it’s needed here. The Pad 3’s screen is a stunner in every respect. It’s as slim and easy on the eyes as an iPad Air, and a lot more wallet-friendly than any of Samsung’s big screen Android slates. For some creative types it’ll be the operating system that’s the limiting factor, with fewer apps than Apple. But if Android meets your needs and you want a tablet that can truly do it all, look no further.

OnePlus proves it deserves to be considered the top Android tablet maker for another year as the Pad 3 refines its best features even further. If OnePlus could have fought off the necessity for a price increase and added fingerprint or facial recognition security, this would have been nigh on perfect. But as it stands, the still competitive price only makes the beefy performance, big and bright screen, and long-lasting battery even more appealing.

If you want a mid-range Android tablet that feels like a flagship, yes. For many people, the OnePlus Pad 3 offers everything most people are looking for in a slate. OnePlus has absolutely nailed the fundamentals here, with incredible performance, a stunning display and some of the best battery life I’ve ever seen on a tablet. You also get a flagship design and useful software features to help you make the most out of that big screen. However, it’s not perfect. While security updates will continue for six years, OnePlus’ commitment to major OS updates is half that. There’s also no official water or dust resistance, while the optional keyboard cover could do with some improvement. But considering its price point, the OnePlus Pad 3 is still a superb buy that’s easy to recommend.

It’s not quite outpacing the M3 iPad Air, but it’s not that far off either – and we’ve never seen that from an Android tablet before. Throw in great software tailored to the tablet experience, with handy additions like the ability to remotely access your Mac from the tablet, and you’ve got a remarkably impressive tablet, considering its £529/$699 price tag. For most people, this is the best Android tablet to buy.

If you're due for a tablet upgrade, the OnePlus Pad 3 brings a lot to the table for $1,000. That's obviously not cheap, but I think this device brings good value for what you're paying for. The light weight and thin design make this very comfortable to hold for long sessions in front of the screen. The display is gorgeous and vast. And you have a battery that just won't quit. The stylus attaches magnetically to the tablet. My complaints about the device are minor/common to nearly every tablet (the bezels are a little thick around the screen, the stylus doesn't stay securely attached) but overall, the pain points are so few I really had to think hard about what I don't like about this tablet because there's so much I DO like.
